Hey, let’s talk about our changing bodies

By Lena Ross | October18, 2025

Remember when our bodies seemed to do exactly what we wanted? These days, you might notice things changing. Your metabolism might be a bit slower, muscles don’t build as fast, or fat shows up in different places than it used to. And yes, it can be frustrating sometimes. But believe me, it doesn’t mean we’re any less strong or beautiful. It just means we need to get to know ourselves in a new way and take care of ourselves differently.

Accept yourself as you are

I know it’s hard to accept that our bodies change. It’s so easy to think back to how things used to be, but let that go. Work with your body, not against it. Choose workouts that feel good for you and food that fuels your energy. Give yourself rest when needed, and start small. Even one tiny change a week can make a big difference.

Small steps, big results

You don’t need to spend hours in the gym. Even short 15-minute workouts, a 30-minute walk, or a few minutes of stretching each day make a difference. And here’s the best part: pick something you enjoy. Fitness is about fun and consistency, not perfection.

Trust in your own strength

Our bodies change, but our inner strength often grows with the years. We know ourselves better, make choices that truly support us, and understand our limits. Fitness becomes not just a way to get stronger physically, but also mentally. I personally keep a little journal of my progress, and even the smallest wins feel amazing.

Find support from others

It really helps to connect with women who understand what you’re going through. Working out together, sharing experiences, and motivating each other gives so much energy. Invite a friend for a walk or a short workout. Moving together makes it fun, and keeps you accountable.

Comfort and support matter

Wear clothing that supports you and makes you feel confident. A well-fitted sports bra and comfortable leggings make a huge difference. Breathable fabrics prevent uncomfortable sweat marks, and a strong core helps your posture and balance. Stay hydrated and eat mindfully to fuel your energy and recovery. Schedule consistent workout times — it’s about building a habit, not adding stress.

Conclusion – be kind to yourself

Change is inevitable, but it doesn’t mean we’re any less capable or worthy. Think of your body as your ally: it changes, but it’s strong, resilient, and deserving of love. Work with your body, not against it, and discover a new sense of strength, vitality, and confidence.
